Emerging Artist Opera Program
No Strings Theatre’s Spotlight: Emerging Artist Opera Program is where emerging talent meets opportunity. This program offers aspiring opera artists at any stage of their devlopment, the chance to work on full-scale productions while breaking down barriers in the arts. Participants receive hands-on training in performance, stage management, production, and more, guided by industry professionals. The program is staged in both Toronto and rural Ontario, honing artistic skills and fostering inclusivity by creating diverse productions that engage and inspire audiences from all backgrounds.
Are you a teen with a passion for the performing arts? Join our Summer Music Theatre Intensive Program, designed for youth ages 13–17 who want to develop their skills in acting, singing, and dancing. Over four dynamic weeks, participants will train with experienced instructors and guest artists, and collaborate with peers.

The program will culminate in a public performance of the beloved musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin, allowing participants to showcase their talents for family, friends, and the wider community. The Many Voices, Many Stories: New Works Initiative empowers emerging playwrights and theatre creators from marginalized communities to develop and stage new, original works. This professional program provides mentorship and resources to elevate fresh, underrepresented voices in theatre. Through workshops, readings, and full productions, participants challenge societal norms, bringing bold, diverse stories to life. The initiative ensures these narratives reach broader audiences, igniting meaningful conversations and expanding the creative landscape in Toronto and beyond.
ArtConnect focuses on making the performing arts accessible within Toronto's diverse communities. Through concerts, opera showcases, and performance events, ArtConnect serves as a bridge between the arts and social change, fostering dialogue around equity, inclusion, and cultural expression. By bringing professional performances to local venues, schools, and community centers, ArtConnect ensures that the transformative power of live performance reaches underrepresented and underserved audiences, creating spaces for meaningful engagement with the arts.
