Avi brings extensive experience in leadership, nonprofit governance, and strategic planning to No Strings Theatre. With a background spanning both corporate and nonprofit sectors, he has successfully led large-scale transformation projects and held various leadership positions that have shaped his expertise in building inclusive environments and driving organizational growth. ​Avi has a strong track record of developing impactful fundraising strategies and re-engaging boards, skills that will be instrumental in helping No Strings Theatre grow its reach and empower the next generation of performers. ​Avi is deeply committed to equity and inclusion, having spearheaded several diversity initiatives in his previous roles. He is excited to bring his passion for the arts, education, and community development to No Strings Theatre, helping the organization thrive and continue its mission of fostering an equitable and inclusive space for emerging artists.

With a background in executive coaching and organizational development, Margot brings her passion for helping others grow professionally and achieve their goals to No Strings Theatre, hoping to contribute to its success by supporting all the people who give it their time and energy, and, in the broadest sense, helping to make the world a little happier, healthier, and harmonious. She blends human-centric leadership philosophy and neuroscience with practical skills that lead to results and growth, creating a safe and collaborative environment. Margot enjoys working with students and people at the beginning of their careers as they embark on a journey of self-discovery. As a coach and mentor, she helps them explore their own professional interests while lending her experience to help them develop the skills necessary to be successful. In her spare time, Margot has rediscovered her voice and love of music. She takes voice lessons for the pure joy of it. She joined the team at No Strings Theatre, a company devoted to the promotion and development of emerging artists, to support the next generation of singers and artists.

Karen Sampson, a dedicated law clerk, brings her expertise in administration and organization to her role as Secretary on No Strings Theatre’s board. With a passion for theatre and a strong commitment to community service, Karen combines her professional skills and love for the arts to support and strengthen our mission. Through her work with No Strings Theatre, she finds a meaningful way to give back and stay deeply connected to the creative community.​

Kevin Mao is a Senior Strategy Manager at Telus and serves as Treasurer for No Strings Theatre. A Chartered Professional Accountant, Kevin holds a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting from the Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Economics from Rotman Commerce, University of Toronto. Kevin leverages his financial acumen and strategic expertise to ensure strong fiscal stewardship for No Strings Theatre, supporting its mission to make a lasting impact in the arts community.

Patrick holds a Master of Music in Opera Performance from the University of Toronto Opera School, a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Western Ontario, and his Juris Doctorate law degree and Bachelor of Education, and certificate of International Business from Queen’s University, and Law Practice certificate from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University). He is an accomplished actor, singer, and former commercial print model, and a national scholar, having been awarded a Canadian Graduate Scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, offered an Ontario Graduate Scholarship, and having earned a National Excellence Award from the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation. Some of Patrick’s performance credits include roles and chorus with the Canadian Opera Company, Opera Atelier, Toronto Operetta Theatre, Toronto Summer Lyric Theatre, the Tanglewood Music Festival (Boston Symphony Orchestra), the Bel Canto Institute (Florence, Italy), and the Aspen Music Festival (as a winner of the 2009 concerto competition). He earned a certificate in Intermediate Italian studies from the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci (Florence). He has performed in concerts and operas throughout Canada, the United States, and Italy, and has studied law in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Patrick has performed multiple seasons with the Canadian Vocal Arts Festival, Opera NUOVA, and the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity's Opera as Theatre program. Patrick currently works as a Senior Business Studies teacher with the Toronto District School Board, teaching Marketing and Business Leadership and is qualified to teach Business, Vocal and Instrumental Music, French as a Second Language, Guidance and Law. Patrick works teaching and tutoring privately in music, modern languages and math, running his own business and also working with Neighbour Note. He has also worked as a lawyer, financial advisor, translator, and editor.

Antoinette Ankrah is a multidisciplinary artist and educator with a rich background in music and theatre. An alumna of No Strings Theatre's Emerging Artist programs, she has contributed to NST behind the scenes in various roles, including production, youth programming, and community outreach. Antoinette has taught at Encore Music School and volunteered extensively with the Kanisa Community Choir, engaging in community performances and outreach. Currently, she focuses on acrylic painting, clay sculptures, and mixed media, while mentoring the next generation of artists and performers.

Eulalie holds an Associate Degree (AA) in Human Resources and Executive Assistant Management As an Event Coordinator, Eulalie has managed and coordinated a variety of events from inception to successful completion for various organizations, choral groups, churches and weddings.​ Eulalie's initial involvement with No Strings Theatre began as a vocal student of Denise’s Studio. As she became aware of the amazing professional productions that Denise was offering to the community, she realized that her skills and experience as an Event Planner would be better utilized as a member of the board of No Strings Theatre. For over ten years, she has lent her support to this amazing organization as Event Coordinator and now Front of House for all events. It’s been a joy for her to support Denise and to work with so many professional artists.

Janina holds a certificate in Administration and Human Resources from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson Polytechnical Institute). As the recipient of an “Outstanding Achievement Award for Excellent Customer Service” from Deloitte, Janina has contributed her excellent administrative and organizational skills to No Strings Theatre as an Administrative/Fundraising Assistant. She enjoys her volunteer work at No Strings Theatre as it gives her a purpose and meaning in her life. Janina has a passion for music and singing and is currently studying singing with Denise Williams, Vocal Coach.

Beauthy Ashley is a versatile artist and creative professional with a background in stand-up comedy, acting, and directing. She has performed at notable venues across England, including The Scoop, Young Vic, The Chapel, and the National Theatre. With over 10 years of experience directing actors for film and theatre, Beauthy brings a unique perspective to No Strings Theatre. She is also the Vice President of Born 2 Live Africa, an orphanage organization with branches in the Ivory Coast, France, and the UK, and hosts the podcast Duchess of the Six. A recent graduate in Creative Arts, Beauthy combines her administrative skills and creativity to enhance No Strings Theatre’s productions and community engagement.
