Danielle Serrano
HR Project Manager
With a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from York University, Danielle supports No Strings Theatre by improving internal efficiency and aligning initiatives with its long-term mission. She brings experience in HR and administrative roles across hospitality and start-up environments, where she played a key role in project coordination and process optimization, driving business growth and operational efficiency. Passionate about volunteerism and its transformative impact in creating opportunities, she is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and dedicated to advancing NST’s mission of making theatre accessible and empowering—while also amplifying the voices of talented artists. With a deep appreciation for the arts as a powerful medium for storytelling and community connection, she is excited to contribute to NST’s impact and continuing growth.

Donna Tran
Administrative Assistant
Donna serves as an Administrative Assistant for No Strings Theatre, applying her human resources and organizational expertise to support the company’s creative mission. She holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Seneca Polytechnic, bringing a structured, people-focused approach to the operations team. By blending her HR foundation with a deep appreciation for the arts, Donna ensures "behind-the-scenes" work effectively supports the theatre’s goals and initiatives. Her background as a Career Peer and her Project Management Ready™ certification reflect a commitment to professional development and team success. Donna believes a strong administrative foundation is the backbone of any successful organization. As a recent graduate, she is excited to grow within such a creative community and is happy to use her skills to support the No Strings team.

Angela Ng
Past Volunteer Coordinator
Angela is a Business Management student at Toronto Metropolitan University, majoring in Human Resources Management and minoring in Professional Communication. She received the Dean's List award in the 2023-2024 academic year, so she hopes to marry her knowledge in human resources with NST’s aspirations to provide volunteers with a memorable and meaningful volunteer journey, ensuring a vibrant attendee experience through strategic events and volunteer planning and support. Angela likes to volunteer at different cultural and art events, supporting creative expression in her community.

Emma Golden (she/her)
Fundraising Coordinator
Emma Golden (she/her) is a queer, neurodivergent artist, sailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Holding an Honours Bachelor in Music Theatre Performance from Sheridan College, and joining the incoming Cycle 37 MFA at NYU Tisch Graduate Music Theatre Writing Program, Emma has a curiosity and passion for exploring and expanding beyond the set ‘limitations’ of musical theatre both as a performer, and a creative member. Her developing musical ‘Potato Potato’ premiered in collaboration with The Alliance For New Musicals, and The Toronto Fringe Festival at Theatre Passe Muraille in 2025, as well as receiving multiple workshops and presentations in collaboration with Theatre Sheridan’s Writers Stream and Factory Theatre. Before her time at No Strings Theatre, Emma worked as an assistant stage manager, administrative camp coordinator, instructor, and media marketer at Neptune Theatre School. Additionally, she founded the collective ‘Quirkle Theatre’ as a writer, composer, and producer. Selected performance credits include Piper (Bad Hats/Theatre Sheridan), Natasha Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 (Theatre Sheridan), Something Rotten (Theatre Sheridan), Armchair Confidential (Theatre Sheridan), A Midsummer Nights Dream (Neptune YPCo) Les Miserables (Neptune YPCo), She Kills Monsters (YPCo).

Sid Malcom (she/her)
Past Volunteer Coordinator
Sid Malcolm is a graduate from Brock University, Hons. BA in Dramatic Arts, with concentrations in Performance and Production & Design and a minor in Music. She is also a recent graduate from Sheridan College, Hons. BA of Music Theatre Performance. Sid is an eclectic, multidisciplinary artist who has a hand in all avenues of theatre, from performance, to creative team, and to crew. Through her artistry, Sid has a passion for sharing truths and combining stories of injustice with Theatre. She strives to create and nourish art which questions socially accepted normative behaviours. Sid challenges herself and those around her to digest their surroundings through a critical lens.
