Bursaries and Scholarships
No Strings Theatre offers a quality program at a competitive price. Market research shows that programs such as this in downtown Toronto average at least 30-50% more than our fees. This is our attempt to make this program accessible and attract a larger demographic pool of individuals who could greatly benefit from this program.
We feel our mandate to provide artistic training as well as a community performance opportunities is highly important for youth’s at this developmental growth phase. We are therefore, very dependent on our tuition fees to meet our financial needs including hiring trained staff and providing exceptional programming.
We do realize, however, that there are families who simply can’t afford specialized programs such as this, or individuals that are supporting themselves or their own artistic education. We at No Strings Theatre have can offer a few subsidized spaces for students who meet certain criteria. (see below)
There are 3 types of financial assistance

The following bursaries/scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need.
Full Tuition Scholarship
Administration Fees will be charged on all above bursaries/scholarships

Bursaries and Scholarships (Criteria)
High School Student Bursary ($500 off of summer intensive)
Youths aged 14-19 Based on financial need.
High School Student Scholarship ($750 or Full Tuition off of summer intensive)
Youths aged 14-19 are given given a 1-3 year (renewable yearly) opportunity to participate in music theatre studies through NST programs including private instruction. Based on financial need and merit. An audition/interview may be required
Youth Apprentice Bursary ($500)
Youths 19-21 with advanced skills in one or more of the three music theatre disciplines may qualify for our apprenticeship program scholarship. The youth must be a resident of Canada and living independently of parent/guardian support or there is no possibility of parent/guardian support. An audition is required
Youth Apprentice Scholarship ($750 or Full)
Youths 19-21 with advanced skills in one or more of the three music theatre disciplines may qualify for our apprenticeship program scholarship. The youth must be a resident of Canada and living independently of parent/guardian support or there is no possibility of parent/guardian support. An audition is required.
