AUDITIONS FOR THE SUMMER INTENSIVE IS FOR CASTING THE SHOW

Auditions are not required to enter the program.

Get feedback on the repertoire and roles that will suit you.  You will also have the opportunity to let us know some of your desires for the program

PREPARE
2 contrasting music theatre vocal selections, 1 monologue (if you don’t have a monologue, we can provide readings)

READINGS –  soon to be uploaded

Bring

  • sheet music for your  songs
  • bio (if you have)
  • photo (if you have or we will take a picture of you)

Notes:

A pianist will be provided.   If you are without sheet music , you may sing accapella or use an accompaniment track.  In lieu of a bio, you may fill out the audition sheets provided and a photocopied photo will suffice.   We will also be able to take a snapshot of you as necessary.

2. CASTING AUDITIONS FOR THE SHOW

Casting auditions will commence on the 2nd day of the program.

Please prepare

  • 2 contrasting music theatre vocal selections (you will be asked to sing only one)

Bring

  • sheet music (preferred) or CD accompaniment tracks
  • bio (if we didn’t get one before)
  • photo (if we didn’t get one before)

Notes:

A pianist will be provided.   If you are without sheet music , you may sing accapella or use an accompaniment track.  If accapella, be sure to have the ability to start on the correct pitch and stay in tune.   In lieu of a bio, you may fill out the audition sheets provided and a photocopied photo will suffice.   We will also be able to take a snapshot of you if necessary.   You will also be measured for costumes.


3. CALLBACKS AND FINAL CASTING

Final auditions and casting for roles in the show.  There is a possibility of double-casting

CASTING NOTES

The final auditioning panel typically consists of Artistic Director, Director, Music Director, Choreographer, Assistant Director and a Stage Manager. Casting decisions are made by this proficient team of directors and are made to be of the best benefit to the individual as a team member of the full company. We assure you that everyone is given equal consideration for casting.

The program challenges all levels.
