What are we going to do?

Our program consists of:
 
• dance, drama & vocal classes 
• improv, scene study & character development 
• performance masterclasses and vocal coaching
• production rehearsals 
• support with audition techniques, performance anxiety etc. 
• seminars on 'the biz’
• technical work behind the scenes 

GENERAL SCHEDULE (subject to modification)

Monday-Thursday

Morning - vocal, dance, dramatic classes

Afternoon - rehearsals for a fully-staged and choreoraphed presentation of the show for full production students. Students in the weekly program will audit, aid in role preparation and behind the scenes work.

Friday

Morning - Rehearsal for the show

Afternoon - Seminars, Performance Masterclass

CLASS DESCRIPTION & ACTIVITIES

(programs are subject to modification)

Vocal Class - group vocal warm-up, exercises for relaxation, breathing, projection, range, musical style, Alexander technique, individual coaching & group rehearsals.

Drama Class - theatre exercises and games to develop performance technique, staging and blocking basics, improv classes, character study, scene study.

Movement /Dance Class – review of dance moves, sequences & call directions, movement style and sequences indicative of choreography for the show.

Performance Masterclass (vocal/dramatic) - students will have the opportunity to perform material of their choosing (from the play or otherwise) and will be given feedback from their peers and the directors.

Seminars - audition techniques, managing performance anxiety, choosing appropriate repertoire, monologues, vocal care, the biz, behind the scenes (props, lighting, sets, costumes) A theatre guest may be invited.

Costumes Props Sets - The students will assist in the construction and design of costume accessories, props, sets.
