Apprenticeship Program

If you are in the older age bracket, for our program, (19-21) with experience, you may qualify for our apprenticeship bursary or scholarship program.  This season we have extended the bursaries to qualified male singers age 17 -21.

We find that youths of this age who still wish to gain experience in one or more of their triple threat skills or in stage performance, often with limited resources, and saving for post secondary education, can't afford extracurricular opportunities such as this

This program provides youths in this category with the opportunity to take advantage of professional training, stage performance as well as teaching experience that will assist them.

Qualified applicants will receive a 50% bursary or 100% scholarship towards the program fees  Apprentices will be given on and off-stage leadership roles in the summer program.   The Professional Apprentice will be assigned coaching duties as well.

This season the following are available:

1-100% Scholarship plus $100 cash Bursary - Professional Apprentice (Tenor or Baritone, 19-21)

 1- 100% Scholarship -Tenor (18-21)

 1- 100% Scholarship -Baritone (18-21)

1-50% Bursary -Tenor (17-21)

1-50% Bursary- Baritone (17-21)

Soprano and Alto bursaries are dependent on male/female ratios -there are no Soprano or Alto bursaries this year.

To qualify you must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in music theatre skills and be intending to continue professional studies in the performing arts.   An audition will confirm your acceptance.

• private vocal study and accomplishments
• drama or dance training
• leadership skills
• desire for further study

Audition requirements: 2 contrasting music theatre vocal selections
